For B, I wanted to share a photo that we had not put up yet. I know you have all become familiar with this beautiful face! One of the more fun weddings we got to shoot. Great people and good friends. This Bride happens to be one of my good friends sisters. She has a great soul and kind heart, and so I figured we could give her a shout out in the A to Z Photography Journal!
My first photo for the A-Z challenge is of an Artist! I just wish I had remembered to put something other than a prime lens in my bag. There is so much happening in this work shop it is unbelievable!
Gabe is one of the most dedicated and artistic people you could ever meet. I met him when I joined my first play in middle school. From high school plays on to college for Glass Blowing and Ceramics. Now working out of his workshop at home, he has never stopped creating. He can jam out on the piano, break out a mandolin, or chill with his happy drum! Known to recite original poetry in the middle of a hangout session, I had to give him a shout out and use him for my Artist!
What do you want to see a photo of for B? Let me know with a comment on this post or over on the website. Be sure to check out some of Gabe’s work over on Instagram @gabrieljohnpoucher
Thanks for participating!
Sometimes when I am too busy with life to book gigs, it gets hard to keep motivation and be creative. I started doing a few little photo projects for myself recently, almost like product photography. I enjoy it quite a bit and it got me to use my camera differently than ever before. Because of this, I decided to do something that people have been doing for years, an A to Z photo challenge.
I am thinking possibly doing one letter per week, then at the end of September and into October, I may knock out some more from Ireland and Iceland. If this is something you would be interested in, keep an eye out on our website as well as the Facebook page. If you would like to participate, feel free to share your photos with us!
We have finally done it! The old website has been thrown to the dogs! After hiring a designer to help us get a cleaner, more professional logo, we decided the website could use a change. After starting to make some changes, we decided to kill the old website completely and start from scratch! After a few hours of work (Mind you revisions and additional content will be coming) We have finished the base for our new home on the internet!
We would love to get any feedback from our friends that follow us here! Please take a look and let us know what you think. Check back in next week and check out the new pages that will be coming!

A bit dramatic! For those of you who know me personally, that should come as no surprise. The reason I have asked for your help is because I would like to make some changed to the website. I would like to get some feedback from our friends here as to what you think we should do. Please let us know what you like about the website and what you don’t. If it is not easy to navigate we would love to know! If you like it just the way it is, well then I suppose there is nothing to do on our part. We would like the process to go as smoothly as possible for our friends and new clients. So please, feel free to email us, comment on the blog at the website, or leave a comment here below. We appreciate all of your feedback and can’t wait to talk to you soon!
Have you looked at the forecast lately? If you have, you still may have missed it. Ensnared Photography will be posting Discounts on different types of photography throughout this spring and summer! Just keep an eye out on our Facebook page and on our website at Ensnaredphotography.com
As well as posting certain discounts online, we will be coming up with different special pricing for anybody who gets a hand on one of our business cards! Whats better than quality photos at a fair price?? Getting them marked down even more! (As well as getting to see our smiling faces!)
While we are still very busy remodeling our home, We do miss getting to do all of the photography work we were once doing. I know that it takes us a while to get edits up right now, but keep in mind most of the things we are currently doing are just hobby shots. If it were paid clients, we would be sure to make these a priority as we have done in the past. But now that the weather is starting to warm up, we would like to take on more clients again. With this comes a reason for me to buy new equipment! Sometime in the near future we are looking in to buying a Canon EOS R. This will be our first full frame mirrorless camera and we are super excited about it. By the end of the year we may have two new camera bodies and possibly one or two more lenses, so we will need new or returning customers to show off all these new toys! Let us know if you have any events coming up this year that you would like our services for! We look forward to hearing from you. Take care!
Hey there everyone! We have been keeping pretty busy over here. Along with our everyday lives of full time jobs and home renovations, we have managed to sneak in a few weddings and other sessions this year! For the coming months, we will likely not be taking any new big job clients. Quick family photo sessions or holiday cards are welcome. We are finishing the post processing of our final wedding for the year, and then will be focusing more on our home during the winter. When spring time comes around, we will be open to clients once again, although we may not be able to serve you on the same days we have in the past. We will be planning our own wedding to take place later in 2019 as well, so don’t be surprised if you see less of us in 2019. I would love to keep at it at the pace that we have recently, but am afraid we may not be able to. Regardless, keep and eye out for anything that we may be up to and don’t be afraid to book a session with us for next year.
We have been trying to dip our toes into more and more events. This has been giving us the opportunity to sharpen our skills even more! I have had a blast socializing with everyone and getting to keep busy getting to sporting events, Bridal showers, and Graduations. This month we will be doing and Engagement shoot and a Wedding. Keep up to date by following us on our website and our Facebook page!
We are purchasing a new lens this week! It is a bit pricey but essential to have. The new lens we are purchasing is the 70-200mm f2.8 II USM. What this means to those of you unfamiliar with lenses. This new lens will allow us to take a sharper, more clear image at longer distances. It will also let us take a better quality image in low light situations. It is perfect for weddings and sporting events where we cant constantly be standing 5 feet from our subjects.
That being said, we would like to get the chance to get familiar with our new lens. Soccer and baseball are going on among other sports. If your child plays for a school in portage county, feel free to contact me. I would love to try and make it out on the days that im not booked. We will gladly share the photos we get online. We look forward to testing out our lens with you!
We are trying to be more active here at Ensnared Photography. In doing so we are hoping to book more sessions. We look forward to meeting more and more new potential clients and our referrals. On that note, I intend to do "Photo Walks" through local cities and state parks. While on the "Photo Walks" we plan to photograph people we encounter out in public. Some of these photos will make it through editing and be published on our website.
Furthermore, they will be available for FREE download and printing. We will be publishing here when and where we plan to do our "Photo Walks" to give our followers a chance to get a professional grade photo for free! Thank you for taking the time to visit the site, and keep checking in for more news about how we are progressing.
